The PM&R role at United Hospital will focus about 70% on inpatient rehab and 30% outpatient. You'll primarily be seeing neuro rehab patients in this position.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am - 4:30pm on average
Call is approximately 1 in 6 weekends with two weekdays off the week after your weekend shifts
You'll be seeing an average of 12 patients per day on the inpatient rehab unit and a similar amount in clinic
Team includes 6 PM&R Physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners
Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities
Consult on patients in the acute hospital with complex needs (strokes/brain injuries/general rehab/MS/neuromuscular)
Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
Job Requirements
MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Physical Medicine and Rehab residency required.
BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required within Physical Medicine and Rehab.
Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
ACLS/BLS certification required within 180 Days of hire.
